Nic and I are currently in the process of building our first home! We went out this afternoon and took some pictures (while it was not raining, of course) of where it is so far.

The forms are up and we should have our first meeting with the builder next week. As of now, the house should be completed by the end of November or beginning of December, so we might be in our new house by Christmas!!!

Life is certainly coming together the way we always dreamed it would...

FIRST POST

Nic and I have decided that since our life together has really started now that he is out of the military (woo hoo!) that it might be nice to document from here on out with this blog.

He officially signed out of the military on September 2, 2009 after being active for 3 years and 18 weeks. We are D-O-N-E!!!!! Praise God! We have known nothing but the military for this time, so it will be an interesting ride to actually begin our life together. We are ready for whatever lies ahead of us.

Thank you to our family and friends for supporting us through the lowest of lows and our highest of highs. Thank you to those who had no idea who my husband was, but prayed for him while he was in Iraq on deployment. Your prayers are what brought him home. Thank you!

So here is to the start of our life together...finally!!
